Just what I needed to finish my car November 7, 2007 James M. Van Emburgh (Newport News, VA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Was just what I needed that allowed me to finish the work I was doing on my car without having to bother folks to use their torque wrench. Highly recommended for the price, since I am a "back yard" type guy I feel this will do the job for me for a long time.
Torque Wrench May 10, 2008 David L. Loflin (seattle) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I am a full time mechanic. I did not feel the need for a snap-on wrench at this time because i needed this wrench for the lower value foot lbs. The wrench works well and is accurate and should last me awhile with heavy use.

For a once-in-awhile use this is a FINE tool. I suspect a mechanic wouldn't want to use it day in a day out, but for the price it's nice to have around.
A review of the torque wrench and a review of the reviewers January 19, 2010 Blaine Brodie 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Everything works as advertised with this wrench. It's marked N-m and ft-lbs. My only negative so far is that you can't hear a click at the lower torque ranges, you have to look for the head to snap if you want to torque at the lower settings.
Regarding the other reviewers issues. I agree with the one poster who said it's hard to determine which increment you're on with wrench. You are always a small bit below when you get to one of the torque scale marks (or is it high :)).
To the reviewer who couldn't move the wrench past 30ft-lbs, that is because there is a lock nut on the bottom of the wrench that you have to loosen to get up higher. This nut is retighten when you get to your desired torque setting. I though the same thing when I couldn't move the wrench past 70ft-lbs, but I loosened it up and it went all the way up to 80ft-lbs as expected.
Also, it seems some people's wrenches are marked in inch-pounds, I recently got my wrench an it only had ft-lbs and N-m, so they may have change this or it may vary depending on which you get.
Great tool for the price July 1, 2008 Craig A. Mutchler (Davis, Il USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
The Pro quality 3/8" 10-80 Foot Pound wrench was needed by me as it also does Newton measurements which I need for my motorcycle as everything on it is metric. It handles both. Good product, reasonable price and a handy carrying case to boot.
