best torque wrench for this price July 30, 2006 nexum1919 (Chicago) 21 out of 22 found this review helpful
i believe 10-80 ft/lbs range is ideal for the weekend shade-tree auto mechanic. i used this wrench for suspension, brakes and minor engine work. overall very pleased, has a solid feel to it. not the best torque wrench i've seen so far but much better than that auto store loaner tools. i expect to use it for a long time. keep in mind that torque wrenches are not meant to be dropped, used as hammers or breaker bars.
No Ft-Lb Calibration May 12, 2007 R. Treadway (Northern CA. USA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Seems to work well for it's intended use. For the price, it's great. I haven't used it much, but the shorter length makes it more convenient to use than a full size torque wrench. Only peeve is that it is calibrated in Newton-Meters and Meter-Kilograms, but most torque specs are now in metric, and conversion is easy.
A really nice tool August 10, 2009 J. Kloep (chicago) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this thing so fast through the mail it maid my head spin ! I work on the side doing brake jobs most of the time and I like to torque everything to spec so I had to get one and sense I would have paid three times this price at the local craftsman store I had to get it. It is very accurate as I have a torque wrench maching at work to check the shops torque wrenches. It's a very nice tool for whatever country that made it LOL! Thanks Amazon you never fail me when it comes to delivery you guys do a great job !!
Mr good wrench January 17, 2009 Frank T. Johnson (Upton, MA USA) This wrench is just what the doctor ordered. The torque is perfect for the down hill racing bikes we work on.
Faster than a speeding bullet September 12, 2009 Tom Burger (Houston, Texas) Arrived with free shipping almost before I ordered it... second day. For use with standard threading. Short handle and lower possible settings make this ideal for the shadetree mechanic. Easy to adjust and gives clear feedback. Great for spark plugs.
